here's what i think. edit: keep in mind im going off of established artists that are active, as in putting out albums consistenly and will stay droppin shit for years to come east coast - nas: involved in most of the major events of hip-hop's history, nas has perfected a balance of realness and lyricism that shines in a region known for housing some of the most talented wordsmiths. midwest - tech n9ne: building a strong following over the past decade, anyone who's followed techa nina over the years has seen him go from an underground gangsta rapper to reaching mainstream-like success- all under the moniker of strange music. *eminem dirty south - bun b: the other half of ugk (rip pimp c), bun b stays true to his roots in a region flooded with music geared towards the ringtone generation. westcoast - yukmouth: standing the test of time, yuk has remained consistent in his career by switching up his style to keep up with the mainstream without coming across as a sellout. *ice cube hip-hop - kanye west: spurring a hip-hop revolution in the mainstream, kanye has brought a style left for dead back to the airwaves. responsible for the careers of many of the newest acts, kanye is becoming one of the music (and possibly fashion) industry's most influential figures. *talib kweli *=Came close to 1st but is the 2nd Realest Rapper IMO

"I got such a big egoooo" haha fuck I can't stand Beyonce anymore but Kanye did come clean on that shit
I do agree with the list except I would take Em over Tech. Although, I don't like his new album. The Eminem Show IMO is a very very good album.
Yeah like Lungs said, Scarface would be close 2nd. Bun B is still putting out shit though that's worth buying. Scar put out an album a while back but it wasn't like Bun's shit. I bought Trill and I just dl'd II Trill and both are damn good albums. Plus I have the newest UGK album which is hard as fuck.
