If you post something that is not within these guidelines it will be deleted, and from now on you will be banned for a day as well. Exceptions are songs/albums featuring Bay Area/West Coast artists.
Please follow these guidelines. This site is here strictly for Bay Area/West Coast music, lets keep it that way.
The second most important thing you need to know about this site is that we don't like leechers, so all we ask is that you just try to give back what you take, share something of your own!
Whats a leecher?

Now that we've gone over how weak leechers are, you'll need to know how to upload your own music so that other members can download it, right?

How To Upload:
The first thing you'll need to get before you start uploading your own music is WinRAR (click to download) WinRAR is what you use to "zip" all of your files together to make it into one condensed file.
1) Put the files that you want to upload to their own folder. We're going to use Mac Dre's "Stupid Doo Doo Dumb" as an example for you:
2) Now you need to find the "parent folder" (the folder which your album is located in) of the album/folder which you are trying to upload.
(notice Stupid Doo Doo Dumb)
Note:It will automatically name the archive whatever the folder name is, so name your folder appropriately. However, you can always change the .rar name later on if you wish.
3) A box will then pop up giving you the status on adding the files to the archive.
4) After the process completes, you will see a .rar file in the parent folder where your original files were.
5) After you have made your .rar file, you can now visit a file hosting site like Rapidshare, Megaupload, Sendspace, ect., ect. When you visit one of those websites, they will have an option to browse to the file you want to upload. Click the browse button and find the .rar file you just created, once you find that file, choose it and then click "Upload".
6) Once your submitted file is done uploading on your file hosting site, the site will supply a download link, copy that link and create a new thread on our forums. You must paste your link inbetween the "Hide" tags so that way your link will be hidden to general public, and you will recieve the props you deserve.
You can hide your link 1 of 2 ways. Manually or Automatically. To do it manually, paste your link when creating a new thread and manually enter

at the end of your link. When you're done, it should look like this:

To do it Automatically, just paste your link when creating a new thread, then highlight your link and click the "HIDE" button located to the top right of the editor.

Please follow these guidelines, it will help to keep these forums organized and easy to use.
Another thing that we can't seem to stress enough here is SEARCHING before you post something or request something. Here is a simple guide that will save you a hell of a lot of time when looking for certain things on the forum, trust me.

Before You Type Any Search Terms, Configure the Search

For instance: If I want to search for the Mac Dre album “Genie of the Lamp” I would not type “Mac Dre” or “Genie of the Lamp”, but instead I would just type Genie because I know there are not a lot of posts with Genie in the title and it's more than four characters long.

However, you are not allowed to post nudity or offensive content in your sig/avatar. Keep your sig relatively short, we don't have a character limit, so lets keep it that way. On your first offense, you will be given a warning. However, on your second offense you will be sportin' a non-changeable avatar and sig. Depending on the seriousness, the offender may be subject to be banned(see punishment rules below).
5.PLEASE post in the correct forum. - We have different catagories and sections for a reason. When people post in the wrong sections it only creates more work for our staff. We do not get paid for our work on this site, all that we ask is that you be considerate and make our jobs a little bit more pleasant.
The rules are simple and in no way unreasonable. Therefore, anyone found to be breaking the rules will be banned. As of late the rules haven't been enforced and so, from now on they will be, so take notice.
Punishment will be as follows..
1st Offense = 1 Week Ban
2nd Offense = 1 Month Ban
3rd Offense = 1 Year Ban
NOTE: These rules are meant to govern the general use of this forum. However, other regulations for things such as uploading still exist.
