Bay On Top Search Guide Before you post anything to Bay On Top, please search first to see if someone else has already posted it. Here’s a quick guide to using the search at Bay On Top: Before You Type Any Search Terms, Configure the Search- Click the Search link beneath the Bay On Top banner.
 - In the pop-up window always choose Advanced Search.
 - In the Search by Key Word section, click on the drop-down menu and choose Search Titles Only.
- In the Search in Forum(s) section change this to Download Area (or more specific areas if you want). You can choose more than one area to search by holding the ctrl key on Windows or the Apple key on Mac while clicking on items in the list.
 - Configure other options such as date, sorting, etc. (optional).
- Save your search preferences (optional).
Tips on Search Terms- Search terms must be at least four characters long.
- If you want to search using a phrase, you must enclose it in quotes. However, searching for phrases is not advised due to possible misspellings in the title or use of underscores, punctuation, etc.
- Use the least common words and least amount of words possible in your search. For instance: If I want to search for the Mac Dre album “Genie of the Lamp” I would not type “Mac Dre” or “Genie of the Lamp”, but instead I would just type Genie because I know there are not a lot of posts with Genie in the title and it's more than four characters long.
After you’ve entered your search terms click Search Now. Good luck! |
