Every car has their pros and cons, no car is perfect...I love American cars...only Japanese car I would drive is a Lexus or a 2000's Acura 3.2 TL

american cars are a bad investment because you end up spending more money on repairs and gas than the car is worth.

and no. jap cars aint no 4 cylinder. my shits pushin a 3.5 with a cool air intake and super slap wit a touchscreen 2din dvd and a xbox 360 wit wireless so i can play live parked by a starbucks or office buildin its dope as fuck.

my uncle bought a brand new silverado off the lot in 2004 and hes never abused it. took it to dealership for service every 3k. and always took good care of it..(it still looks new inside out.)
but the piece of shit breaks on its own.
the steering box broke and the steering wheel locked on him on the fuckin middle of the road.

he had to replace hella shit. he almost died when the steering box went out and he has 2 kids in the car.

well the mechanics that worked on ur tio's truck were prolly stoned or some shit and fucked around the steering box. i aint never had a problem like that on my chevy. i never let chevy specialists touch my whip cause 1. they charge a fuck load. 2. i can do most of the maintenance myself.
sometimes you gotta check the car urself and see if everything is tip top.
