MUST READ: Remove underscores from the thread title or your thread will be deleted!!

For whatever reason, using underscores in the thread/topic title causes the search engine to ignore all words in the title except the first one, and thus the majority of results which contain underscores in the thread title will not be displayed in the search results when searching using the option "search titles only".

For example, if your title is "Philthy_Rich_And_Dirty-The_Skumbagz", when searching for "Rich", or "Dirty" or "Skumbagz" this thread will not be displayed in the search results. It would be displayed only if you had searched for "Philthy". This would not be an issue if your title was "Philthy Rich And Dirty-The Skumbagz". In such cases, if no results are displayed, someone will waste time and effort to post something which has in fact already been posted, causing unnecessary frustrations for both the uploader and the moderators who have to clean it up, only because the original uploader could not take an extra second or two to remove the underscores.

Consider this your first and last warning. Any threads posted as of May 2009 containing underscores in the title will be deleted.

Good thing you figured that out.

How bout instead of deleting the thread, we just edit the album title and warn the user. Next time they are banned for 7days. If they do the same thing it will be a perma ban.

If we do it for the user, they will not take it seriously. It is their responsibility to submit a thread properly (in the proper section, with nfo if it is a GroupRip, with url and hide tags, a cover if available, etc.)

I actually edited about 7-10 posts yesterday and I have to admit that I prefer to do other things with my life. But if you or someone else wants to do it, I have no problem with that (I personally do not have the permission/settings to temp/perm ban anyone)

Yeah, I feel that. The people who normally post GRs will follow the rules so yeah, deletion will be fine.
