i think if you got a receiver it will work..tried with regular car speakers not subs though

depends. some surround systems dont power the sub. some subs have their own built in amps.

low wattage could also mean your blow your shit form a reciever

thats 3 12's a shit ton of mids and highs..... its plently it shakes my house to shit.



but dont make car subs take a beating inside your house. its no good for them i promise.

they sell individual powered subs you could add to your surround sound, but car subs isnt a good idea, its all on the receiver if you know what you're doing you might be able to make it happen, but most likely the subs wont get enough power to do anything.

to use a car sub in a home stereo the stereo has to have a amplifier (seperate amped reciever)
then u just wire the sub to the back like u would with a normal speaker.
my boy did that but its kinda gay. its better to buy a home theater subwoofer.

bose surround sound systems are great the base is really great expectantly with the external sub woofer box it sounds great bumps hard and is not over doing it to get all ur neighbors to call the cops on you and kick u out
